How come is he an idiot? Because he said obvious things about a religion that has stupid rules which God has never talked about or never will? Religion is about spirituality and your blood is not part of that. The blood is part of your body. The spirit is what it counts in front of God: some people just forget that their human bodies remain here on Earth, 6 feet under. I recommend some bible reading and before even doing that, wake up your spirit. You might just understand more than you do now.

I just found out recently that on the average major surgery they make about $10k .
Yes , blood is a moneymaker.

If you don;t think the healthcare and pharmacutical industry is motivated by money then you really need to wake up.
I had cancer and they told me i was crazy to try natural or alternative treatments (safer and cheaper)
3 years later here I am cancer free and others at the same time that were at oncologist are mostly dead.

Don't know why he would refuse a hip surgery, you can get one without blood by many doctors around the us.
Bloodless surgery is widespread around the country and VERY effective and safe.
google cell saver or
cell salvage machine is should be a no brainer for anyone. Much safer than a transfusion.

On the issue of blood it has always been up to the individual to decide if he/she will have one. That doesn't mean Jehovah's Witnesses are changing their beliefs. We are guided by bible truths but we still have free will. Jehovah gives us guidance, if we don't accept that guidance we are choosing to accept the consequences that follow.

Now if you want a true history about which religions change their beliefs convenient to the times,
That's what “Christianity” has been doing since Emperor Constantine. Remember he was the first “Christian Emperor” that made it “okay” to celebrate pagan holidays as long as they became more “Christian” like.
